DROWNING HOPE - THE NIGHTMARE CHAPTER ONE - (2018 MALTKROSS)Black/Dark AmbientNous restons encore quelque peu en territoires hostiles du Black Ambient avec Drowning Hope, qui, après la symphonie infernale de Melek-Tha, vous pave le chemin des morts : car c'est bien à la bande originale d'un au-delà que nous avons ici affaire (et l'on se dit que, même si la vie est une pute, un au-delà comme cela, en musique ok mais y séjourner, non merci !). La noirceur distillée par cette entité strasbourgeoise est palpable, quasiment répréhensible tant son effet est impactant sur le cerveau du pauvre auditeur (pour un effet maximum morbidité écoutez le avec un casque.) L'infâme créature qui a pondu cette belle oeuvre ne doit pas beaucoup tenir à la vie elle-même, peut être même se dire que ça doit être beaucoup plus intéressant après.

Beaucoup d'entités "Black Metal" devraient se pencher sur ce genre de disques pour comprendre ce qu'est la vraie noirceur. Ici, sans guitares, chant ou batterie, Drowning Hope signe la fin de toute espérance, mais le fait dans la beauté d'une musique profondément envoûtante, qui continue de vous hanter bien après l'écoute.
